You can donate your vehicle and we will use the proceeds to serve your neighbors in need.

Samaritan House is a private nonprofit organization providing services to help meet the essential daily needs of more than 12,000 low-income people within San Mateo County, California. We provide an interim "safety net" for individuals and families in need while ultimately helping them move toward self sufficiency.

With the help of more than 2,000 volunteers, we provide food, clothing, shelter, health care, worker resources, and counseling services, all free of charge to our clients. Samaritan House is a community-supported organization with over 68% of our operating budget coming from private groups and individuals. Please read more about us, our programs, and success stories.

Can you donate yoga mats? As part of our health program at Safe Harbor Shelter, we are providing yoga classes. So many residents are enthusiastic about the class that we are short of mats! If you can donate a mat, please bring it to Samaritan House at 1511 S. Claremont St., San Mateo, or to Safe Harbor Shelter at 295 N. Access Road, South San Francisco.

We have created an illustrated Samaritan House fact sheet. To view the fact sheet, click here.
