Free Medical Clinics
Samaritan House operates two free medical clinics. The Free Medical Clinic of San Mateo is at 19 W. 39th Avenue, San Mateo. The Free Medical Clinic of Redwood City is at 114 5th Avenue, Redwood City. The Free Medical Clinic of San Mateo. Dr. Stuart Viess is the Medical Director of the San Mateo Clinic. Clients of Samaritan House await free medical or dental care. Administrative assistant Silvia Pratt plays a major role in keeping the clinic running smoothly.
Many of the volunteer doctors at the clinic have retired from private practice. Additional medical volunteers take time from busy careers to lend a hand. The medical specialties at each clinic are numerous. Both optometry and ophthalmology are included.
San Mateo Clinic Coordinator Pat Brogan is shown in the clinic's dispensary. Volunteer dentists staff both our dental clinics. Additional volunteers help with administrative tasks. Nurses also donate valuable time.
